Bang goes my plan of treating my engine to a rebuild by them !
There is still Auto Lusso (separate businesses) at Carlisle and Bournemouth plus Howard at Allitalia in Wrexham.
All is not lost yet. But supporting a dwindling market is a tough job. Houghton Regis has been hit by theft and fraud....

From my experience of dealing with AL - & the infamous "Ned" - I'd say you've had a result. They did some work on my GTV years back & the standard of work was truly shocking. When I challenged them (him) on it, he simply couldn't have been more rude/ dismissive. Put another way, Alfaworks in Royston see a lot of customers who used to go to AL....

From my experience with dealing with Ned and Houghton Regis I have only got praise. He diagnosed an issue on my 159 Q4 that was about to cause it's scrapping, sorted the replacement part and saved the car. My car had it's major services there for the best part of 10 years and I was happy to travel the 350 miles round trip to have it done.
I fully understand that not everyone has had the same experiences with them, Ned has suffered bad health 18 months ago, his staff took advantage with service customers being offered cash discounts, the company eBay sales account PayPal account being changed to an employees personal one and parts stolen to order. This not from Ned but from the guy who recently bought my 159 and is working alongside Ned to try to pick up the pieces. Sadly too much damage was done and the business is going under.
Hence collection only for your own protection!
Plus one for Howard at Allitalia in Wrexham.
He is incredibly busy though!
