For anyone attending the funeral, I'm told it would be appreciated if they could wear an item in purple as that was John's favourite colour.
Also, I'll be sending a bouquet to Carol from us all in the club.

Should have updated this earlier in the week, but stuff got in the way....!
We had two members attend the funeral - Richard Craig and me - and sadly there were no Strats, as Carol had hoped. Craig and Lydia were going to be there but had to cry off due to last-minute problems of their own. But it was a good turn-out, and a touching service, and the eulogy told of the various things that John did, including the one that stopped me dead - apparently he did a face-painting course to go with his bouncy castle hire business. Who knew???
Anyway, a good send-off, sad though it was.
Really sorry to hear of John's death and my heart felt condolences to Carol and their family. I've not logged on to the forum lately so have missed this sad news and would certainly of made a appearance at his funeral which I'm sorry for,
John was probably the first member of the club I meet, he was a great help for building my car with knowledge and experience by the bucket load which he shared freely along with his enthusiasm for the Stratos.
Carol and John were always so friendly and helpful when ever you meet them at home or club events and did so much good work for the club which I'm sure won't be forgotten.
So rest in peace John a true enthusiast and all round good chap and so sorry for your loss Carol and family.
