    Re: Hawk Suspension Washers

    Hi Chris
Rear washers measure 1.25" OD x 0.125" thick. I have 4 inside the mount (3 rear - 1 front) and 1 under the bolt head and 1 under the nut.
I will have a look at the front lower arm and let you know.

    Re: Hawk Suspension Washers

I can't remember if I got a pile of washers with the kit back in 1988 Chris but I do recall that the instructions said to set the wheel central in the arch and parallel to each other and then remove one washer from the back and move it to the front to give the "correct" toe in on the rear.

I also remember what a pain it was to juggle washers and spacers with wishbones to mount it all to the chassis. The trick is to cut down a scrap bolt tat just fits into the suspension mount on the chassis so you can pre-assemble everything and just slot it in and use the relevant bolt to post the cut down bolt out.

    Thanks Paul, that's great.

Guy, that's a good trick for assembling the front. It is a bit fiddly.
My front arms are the original ones supplied with the kit for 'Shades' (ex Tim Heath). Obviously now, that car has been upgraded to rose jointed lower arms.
