Not sure why the images get rotated when uploading them. I saved a copy of the images and rotated them but they still uploaded incorrectly. I then opened the rotated files and saved them using the Classic Windows Paint App and they uploaded OK, very strange.

    Amazing build.

Bit of an update, after recent surgery on my eye, I can now get back into this, I?ve managed to get hold of a full wiring harness for a 1999 Alfa GTV 916, 3.0, phase 2, inc clocks, and load of other bits I need, I got them from here, below, they where absolutely fantastic in helping me identify what needed, and then broke a car they had in there yard, so I could get all the bit I required.

I have no association with them other than as a very satisfied customer, they have a lot of Alfa?s in stock some are drivable and ready to break, Simon is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful, as is his wife Faye, it?s nice to come across a relatively new business, in these trying times doing it right.

Weather permitting, my next update will hopefully show some progress

Finally got to spend some time on the car, it seems as we get older life just gets in the way sometimes, so I?ve been working on fitting a radiator I?ve made up a removable mount, that holds the rad and the original fan from a GTV, the rad is 3 row aluminium and should easily handle the heat.

the frame will need trimming, but first job is create the wireframe for the panels, I’ve balanced a bit of 6mm rod on top this is what the wireframe will be made from, it looks very tight but isn’t as bad as it appears, so that’s the next job….

I’ve had some time to get a bit more work on the wireframe, I’m tack welding the 6mm steel rod to some temporary tubing and the chassis, this is sacrificial and will be removed after the panels are made, it takes a while but is very satisfying….
a lot more wires to add yet but it’s nice to see the 3d shape appearing.

lve also done some work around the cockpit area, I’m trying to replicate the shape of the 1954 car, although no two cars where the same, other than basic shape, this early version has a low side where you step into the car, this will help with my aging legs etc it also has a higher bonnet, this helps with engine clearance.

Wireframe work is very impressive! Another skill I wish I had.
