    Trunk Latch Locking Plate

I've got one of these Glove Box Lock Assemblies that originally was for the Lancia Beta. I was planning on using it for the Trunk Lock on my Hawk.
Unfortunately, it didn't come with the Locking Plate that's needed to hold it in place.

    Here's a picture of what I have:

And here's a picture of an original Stratos with it's Lock Assy with the Locking Plate:

I've sent an inquiry to Midwest-Bayless, but no reply yet.

Does anyone know where a Locking Plate can be acquired?

    Thanks, Jeff

Make one with a bit of metal and a Dremel?
Slide it into position and put a blob of adhesive between the plate and the boot lid to hold the plate it in place

    Re: Trunk Latch Locking Plate

What's the measurement across the slots Jeff?

OE boot locks are 19mm (there's a good chance to find a clip for those, either OE Fiat part or Vespa tool box lock clip. I'm guessing these might be slightly too small, but not by much?)
1300 Fiat X1/9 glove box locks are 26mm (I have one of those spare)

I figured that if I can't find an original, that's what I'd be doing.

I know I'm going to need to fabricate the piece it interfaces with

The slot is 0.042 inches wide and is 1.040 inches across the barrel of the Assembly. 26mm should work.

    Thanks, Jeff

Can you unscrew the latch on the end of the barrel and cut a thread onto the outside of the barrel for a big nut? May have to ask someone with some decent machines
