For IVA you have to have the fluid level warning light wired such that the bulb can be independently lit outside of the fluid level circuit so that you know if the bulb has blown - having it shared with the handbrake indicator achieves that. I only know this as one of my fails was having the handbrake and fluid levels wired separately!
Learn something every day. Makes wiring easier too. Battery-fuse-light-earth 1 at handbrake and earth 2 through the level float contacts..
