AGM 2026 - Sat/Sun 12th/13th September, Peak Rail, Derbyshire

For those who attended the SEC AGM last month there was a concensus that more people would attend if there was something else to do. Well here is that something else. On Saturday 12th September the day before the AGM there will be a Derbyshire drive out. This is a route developed by Tim Weston and myself and trialled by a few other helpers. The route will be updated and posted nearer the time. For those who want to make a weekend of it I have arranged rooms at the Lee Wood Hotel in Buxton for the Friday and Saturday, here are the details;

We can offer a rate of ?118.00 per person per night based on 2 people sharing a twin/double bedded room. We currently have 2 single rooms that we can offer at ?118.00 per person per night there after the double rooms for sole occupancy would be ?175.00 per room per night. This rate is inclusive of a full English breakfast, accommodation, a 3 course Table D’h?tel Dinner with coffee and VAT at 20%.

Subject to availability we have a few deluxe bedrooms which do have an upgrade charge of ?40.00 per room per night. We are pleased to confirm that we can also reserve the front car park for the Classic cars.

On the Sunday the AGM is being held at Peak Rail Rowsley DE42LF (I am involved in this heritage railway) where there will be a buffet lunch and steam train ride and possible a tour of the engine shed, more on this later.

Regalia all successfully collected from Neil at NEC yesterday (thanks for arranging and delivering etc Dave, and Neil for handling) .
It was pointed out to me , that in the absence of 2025 AGM minutes, there was no evidence that I was elected to Regalia Secretary, so Dave the role is still yours. Ha ha

We also have room on our 'mud square' of a back garden for a two man tent, only problem is, we live there , but it's a superb 25 minute drive to Buxton!

AGM may be a few months away but the option on the rooms Gordon has placed on hold at the Lee wood hotel expire in the next month.
The event this year is a bit different with optional drive out tour of the Derbyshire Peak District on the Saturday and the AGM being held onboard a Peak rail steam train on the Sunday. Full details in the first post
