Wolverhampton has a bit of a Variety Hall name, its Football team are currently rubbish (not that that bothers me much) as is its City Centre, but it did have claims to fame in the past.
It had the first traffic lights in the country, it originated and made many well-known brands of Cars, Motor Bikes and Bicycles, Star, Sunbeam, Clyno, Villers, Viking, AJS, and Humber to name but a few, and a Brewery that brewed the Midlands favourite Mild Beer, alas no more.
Some of you will have seen my posts in the past of the far reaching views (on a clear day) to Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Shropshire and parts of Wales so it is not all bad being here so I hope you will steel yourselves to venture out and risk a visit to our location for a Garage Gathering on the 4th July 2026, 10.00am onwards.
We are, on a good day, 25 mins from M6 junctions 10 & 13 and Bridgnorth, and for those of you to the West, an opportunity to make acquaintances with those who frequent the days to the East.
Tea and Coffee by the bucket full, Cake and Biscuits by the tray full.
If you are, which we hope, intending to venture from your green pastures, please post on here, or send a PM, and I will compile a list on this first post and PM you the postcode closer to the date.
Regards Robin.
Note:- The date is coincidental, we are not starting a Breakaway section, we cannot guarantee the Weather, but we can guarantee that Mr Trump will be nowhere to be seen !!
