I know you've all been anxiously scanning the forum for news about this, and even fretting about whether it was going to happen this year, but now you can put your worries to rest and relax (or not) as I've managed to secure rooms at the above establishment back in our usual August period, after a few years doing it in September.

We've already visited the Fat Lamb a few years back when we called in for lunch on the Bassenthwaite-based gig in 2022. It hosts many car club events and has lots of motoring-related items on display in the dining area. The other thing they do is organise drive-outs with full directions and stop-offs included - they had 24 different ones (!) on the sample sheet I was given - so just for a change, I might well go with one of those rather than reinvent the (alloy) wheel....we'll see.

Anyhow, it's not a big place so rooms are limited. There are 11 reserved for us and that's it, no more room at the inn, so if you're interested get booked in quick! Cost is ?410 per couple for 2 nights on a dinner, bed and brekky basis - single occupancy will be ?250. I know it's a bit pricey but everywhere's like that these days, so get saving up

To book, call 015396 23242, say you're with the Stratos Club, and the dates. There's a ?100 deposit to be paid at the time of booking. Post on here when you're booked in so I know how it's going.... more info as and when!
