    Artemis II watches

To answer some discussions Ian and I were having at Phil's on Saturday about watches.
When I was 40 (not telling year), my wife bought me a watch that I had admired for a couple of years. An Omega X-33 gen 1

Omega X-33 gen 1, had some early problems. The crowns sometime collapsed and pushers would fall out. When mine went for service after a couple of years, it came back with new (redesigned pushers and crown) and has been fine for over 20 years (giving my age away!)

The x-33 gen 2 came with the new crown and pusher design although now matte finish. A new bezel design in matt. These were discontinued in 2006, though are still made for NASA

    I bought a secondhand X-33 - gen 3 (Skywalker) when I retired.
There is now a slightly different version with some revised electronics to suit Mars day lenghts

I see the astronauts on the new launch are wearing x-33 gen 2

In order gen 1, gen 2, gen 3.
