Chris, hopefully this will help, it is perfectly feasible to run vented discs on the front, as per your diagram. The single pot caliper from the 164 is also used on the Delta Intergrale, and it is also possible to use the 'Lancia' marked four pot Brembo calipers from the same car Lancia Delta HF integrale

Does the new owner realise that it is going to be severely over braked, liable to lock up, and not stop? just a thought? regards Griff

With 166 fronts and doing on the back, certainly.
284mm vented fronts are the only 5x98mm off the shelf option.

Could someone tell me the thickness of the Hawk 164 front caliper 'dog bone' spacer?

Just measured mine best possible on the car, a bit fiddly to get the digital measuring stick in! But the gap between the adapter plate & slightly rusty 26 year old 156 caliper is a fairly whopping: 2.7mm, not sure if that is accurate, they have been assembled since 2020. Like I said, really tricky to measure all built up!

My standard 156 front & rear set up with Willwood bias valve giving as much bias to rear as possible is excellent, good to be cautious in the wet when things are cold, but I think that's no bad thing when driving a Stratos!

Give Gerry a shout Chris - he has some on the shelf or about to go onto a car in build?

    Thanks Tim, and Guy,

They're not for me, and the easiest thing would be to buy some from Gerry.
So it looks like 156 brakes are the same, or at least do the exact same job.
