Sorry to see you go Pim!
I hope the new owner contributes as much as you. Keep us updated on teh new project.
Hi all,
I have sold my car, it is going to a good home in Germany. Someone who loves the Stratos since youth.
I got the chance to sell it and am going to try and persue my old dream: the Alpine Renault A110.
Next week the car will be collected so i have to say goodby.
Hopefully not to you all, i would love to visit the forum now and then to see how you all are doing.
Cheers to you all in helping me with my build and the good recievings in England.
Good luck to you all.
Cheers, Pim

Hi Pim,
Here's something ugly, but interesting.
With twin triple choke 46 IDA webers!
I can't tell you how many times I have looked at the build on your website. I know how it goes when you want to pursue something else and too many projects...there's only so much time.
That's sad news Pim, your car was quite inspirational for me during my rebuild and I was so glad to see you and your car in the flesh a couple of years ago at the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show.
Keep us up to date with your A110 quest.
Regards,
Vince.

Very similar to mine, but my carbs are 40 IDA. Surely 46 IDA is far too big, especially for a road car.
'Offered in running condition and recently engine serviced though a thorough recommissioning is advised.'
I think that means, run without air filters, rear engined car in dusty conditions, knackered engine.
No not ugly Chris, a fine machine!

Yep, most Alpines start at 40.000 Euro's going upwards, so it is going to be a challenge to find a project that is restorable!.
Last week ther was a rusty chassis in France with the documents for "only" 17.000 Euro's.
The Spain built FASA Alpines are slightly cheaper.
Cheers, Pim

All the best with your next motoring venture, Pim.
Shame to see you part with the Stratos all the same. Hope to see you again somewhere, sometime.
Kind regard,
John
