Don't forget the inlet manifold to suit an Alfa V6 Griff! Oh, and the airbox!
I thought this was quite interesting, now if they just did down draft versions...…..

I believe they also make the injectors for the latest Triumph Speed Twin/Bonneville/Thruxtons, that look outwardly like the Amal carbs used on the originals...clever, but it doesn't sit right with me. What's wrong with injectors anyway? What next, disc brakes designed to look like drums?? Or even - and here's an idea - making an old Toyota MR2 look like a modern Ferrari. Bet they'd sell loads of those. Oh, hang on...

I suppose it's in the making an alternator look like a dynamo catagory?
Personally, I think it's very clever.
I think Robin mentioned the development of this item. Isn't Jenvey his son/son in law?, I can't remember?
Sticking an alternator on an old bike inside its mag casing (or inside a dynamo, in the case of a car) is fine. You're upgrading the charging system but still maintaining its original look. I just don't like trying to make something look like what it isn't, on a new vehicle. Everyone knows it's injected or it'd never get through emissions testing, so why make it look like a carburettor? Why not fit a dummy set of points under a cover somewhere as well, and an electronically-controlled Castrol R smell emitter?
OK, I know, it's not a big deal, and yes it is very clever, but for me it's in the same category as stick-on carbon fibre...
And yes, it's Robin's son-in-law, so I'll probably find my tyres flat on the run at the weekend :-P Maybe he'll lend me Jenvey's latest electric tyre pump hidden inside a foot pump casing...
Brilliant Norm. One of your best!
