To be honest in some weird way I think I’ve benefitted from the brexit confusion on tax & duty which has created the reduced price.
I’ll let you know how the dremmel turns out.
Take Care

I got some chrome handles from the same supplier, and they operated in the normal way (no mod. needed)
The only difference I've noticed between the OE and repro handles is the shape of the 'ball' rod connecting post on the back of the handle.
The OE one is cone shaped, the repro one isn't.
But that's it, the quality of the repro handles is very good, as Neil says.
I compared the repro handles to a brand new FIAT OE handle that I have, and if there was any difference in quality, it was difficult to see.
Hi Guy,
A happy new year to you and your family.
Thanks for the link and the quality verification of the parts being sold by this vendor. I am also trying to buy a set of column stalks, but it appears that the seller does not ship t my address. I have sent them a message as well for a shipping quote.
It's pretty obvious that someone in Italy has tooled up to make these door handles and bonnet catch mechanisms.... I wonder if it's worth asking is his supplier had considered remaking the over centre catches as well? I guess there's quite a market for them here, even owners of existing cars might be interested?

And indeed X19 owners Guy. See them advertised for restoration these days rather than breaking.
I undertook the conversion to allow the operation as per original spec. The small lug on the handle removed quite easily with a dremmel wheel. ( I used a part worn one with reduced diameter to fit between lug and pivot pins) Graham was correct as there is a shoulder of plastic towards the corner of the body below the lug that still prevents operation of the arm. I drilled a couple of 5mm holes and needle file to remove. Once I had got my head around what was needed it was very simple. The hole is just visible when opening and I’m going to pop a bit of black sealant in there or similar. Not visible when closed.
Just had the import invoice (20% vat + 2.5% import duty) The total price came our at £205 in the end. Having modified and installed the nearside I can confirm the build quality is excellent. In reality I’m not sure I would bother altering if I was starting from scratch as visually they look great and the button operation alone worked fine. Individual preference I guess.
Given that my offside and clam release are brand new if anyone is interested in buying these off me drop me a pm. They have keys but each is different so no benefit in me swapping out.
