He He - yes Mark I also remember those days . I was club rallying (well navigating actually) in a well-prepared Mini 998 and a Mark 1 Cortina - and then subsequently in a very wide tyred Mark 2 Cortina - great fun !

We normally did road rallies.
This was Lambton Lion Park stage rally in 1982.
The health and safety measures were taking the Lions away. At least that's what they told us....
If only we'd known, we coulda had a whip-round for them to leave the lions there....hahaha!
