The dog taking a pee might have taken it a little too far.

To Norm's comment on the engine...they even went to the considerable expense of modifying the Busso to be internally balanced for some reason. I'm sure they had a reason....but was it a good enough one to do all that??

While many of us love the Busso, we have to accept it is old technology and there are plenty of 'better' options out there...assuming by 'better' one means more power, better economy, easy parts access, easy tuning access.....err.....

There is one thing that none of the Busso alternatives have though - visual appeal. Modern engines very much need to be hidden underneath those tacky plastic covers they all seem to come with.

I actually think there's nowt wrong with a Busso, so long as you take on board all Chris's comments above. Looks-wise, yeah, they're good-looking but only if you stay with the chromed inlet runners....take those away and it's just another motor. Although I also accept that adding ITBs and having them on show restores the attraction, but then, you could say the same for a lot of other engines

As for tacky placcy covers, yeah they're stupid, but a lot cheaper than polishing the cam covers on every motor!

Cannot beat a tacky cover to hide an old engine.

That's ever so slightly bonkers, Jim.

    Nice work.
