Circa £ 3600!! A good find but a bit pricy for a set of rusty wheels though they are original stradale ones!!

The rims look to be in good shape - they'd probably clean up OK but , I agree , a bit pricy !

The rims look to be in good shape but I'm surprised by the entire rust for magnesium original wheels!

Here some another original stradale wheels for sale in better condition but no asking price

That's not rust, magnesium corrosion is white, very powdery and leaves large pits normally. They look to have had a chromate treatment to stop them corroding. They're in nice condition from a quick look at the photos.

I bought some old escort Mag wheels and they were covered in micro cracks. Mag does degrade with corrosion and cracking. I might be a tad worried putting my pride and joy on a set without having them crack checked etc..

There was a thread in the distant past that basically said if mag wheels were furry then they were basically scrap.

And sometimes the cracks aren't visible under paint. My local powder coating and enameling place can do mag wheels. They showed me a set from a Lister race car they had stripped. Looked OK until the paint came off - then you could see they were full of tiny cracks.

And sometimes when they're paint stripped it can be hard to see cracks, especially if they've been media blasted, that can mask fine cracks far too well.
