I also had a problem with Nellie on the Saturday drive back from Silverstone !!... she conked out !!!......... got as far as the A46 top side of Leicester and she just slowed... little or no throttle response, Oil and water temps slightly high max 10 deg, oil pressure good..... then stopped..............
Coming up the M1 it was roasting hot so I suspect a fuel/temperature related issue.......... left her for 10 mins and she fired up first time and got me home at a steady 50........... came to work in her this morning and gave her a darn good trashing... she's fine !
Now unless Dr Mel can think of anything else ?
ANY other opinions are greatfully recieved

Any other opinions would be welcome
Try this one Phil !
Depending on how much fuel was in the tanks (less than 1/3 ?) and the way your plumbed in. Is it possible you used all the fuel out of one tank resulting in low pressure & cutting out. While waiting enough fuel from the other tank filtered across to allow you to get home. Next morning both tanks now equalized, so a good thrashing would not repeat the fault.

Glad to see you are still about, I had thoughts you may have had something to do with that fire down your way, considering your mental state when you left Silverstone.
As per your "safari car" I am unable to comment as I believe you had a consultation with Dr Excuse, and his diagnosis was that it was your fault !.
And as a professional I am afraid I have "No Comment"

Worried of Eastbourne,
My I offer this this educational link, www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNOmTsmABIc
However before undergoing any medical procedure you need to consult the professionals, but I understand in your case you have, and are seeking a 2nd and 3rd opinion for your condition.
Good luck.
Dear Ian,
Thank you for taking the time and effort to find such an educational video. The thought of approaching the springs with an Oxyacetylene torch was giving me cause for concern, even worry (I wasn't sure how I was going to sneak a set out of work without being noticed, those cylinders are rather big). However, having watched it now, I feel confident that I can solve my ride hight issues through the simple expediency of buying new springs the right length and rate. This is a complete revelation to myself having recently been left with the impression that I put it together incorrectly being the cause of the issue in the first place.
Relieved of Eastbourne.
Dear Relieved of Eastbourne,
I'm so glad that you found it enlightening and has given the strength to take the first step as we all have to and admit "You" were wrong. It is so often, hard to see past ones simple reasoning that it was the wrong item, when clearly it was the manor of inclusion into the main that was the true source of the problem.
You have made great strides in your recovery and now you understand your issues you will soon bounce back.
This knowledge will give you the resilience and flexibility to hop right back and press on with the next challenge, don't recoil at the thought of more issues, more of opportunities to test your metal.
