I've been warned off black by several people, but there's no denying how good it looks with gold wheels.

It's actually early 1990s BMW Mauritius Blue. It did go from looking almost black to a sudden flash of blue when the light hit it.
The top of the headlamp boxes did sink a bit, because of the sun on the dark colour.
