I did that back when I was mag editor for a bit. Also supplied a CD with them all on, generated text files from OCR scans and a bit of software that searched the archives for key words and spat out which issue it was found in, and where. Subsequent editors carried on the tradition of making a PDF available but I don't think the search tool data files ever got updated?

I've just come very close to buying a Haynes online manual, mistakingly thinking it was a book. I've read comments from people who are annoyed that Haynes manuals are not hard back anymore. Anyhow, enough railing against the digital world, on an internet forum
The issue is that 'they' take away the choice - digital or nowt. It's so much cheaper to move to a digital platform, but oddly, the savings never seem to get passed on.
I can still remember when our manager at the time ran into our workshop all excited because he had just connected his computer to the only "website" in the world at the time, CERN. In a typically spectacular lack of vision on my part, I thought 'nah, what's the point in that'.
'Tell me about it. I had all that with the imposed smart phone tickets at Silverstone last year. Then at the last minute (after I'd bought a smartphone I didn't want) they let me print a scan-able one on paper. I doubt that's an option this year? Not even a secret one.
