Northamptonshire - the most boring county in England - no mountains, no lakes, almost flat, no road with more than 2 miles between 30mph speed limits, furthest place in England from the coast. The northern badlands sounds pretty good to me.

Thats true Chris, but gone are the days of jumping over the fence, legging across the track into the pits and all on F1 Sunday race day. Incidentally my claim to fame, if you can call it that, was very nearly getting run over by James Hunt doing just that. You lot up north might have crappy weather but the scenery makes up for it.
I have some unhappy memories of Sedgebrook Hall - stayed there one year for the Silverstone weekend and it was a wedding venue with unruly guests. Glasses broken everywhere, blokes pissing in the gents. Through the door, not in the urinals, and kids running amok and dancing on the pool tables. I hope the hotel has been repaired since then and they used the travellers deposits to pay for it.... Didn't get much sleep because of the noise but at least they left the cars alone!
Nice hotel otherwise!
Sounds like the kind of behavior the Montecarlo Consortium is famous for!!!
